He was born April 20, 1919 in Fort Hill, a son of the late Nicola M. and Maude C. (Conn) Digruttolo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant daughters Donna and Deborah, brothers Paul and Charles, and sisters Lucy Dunie and Abigail Mowbry. He is survived by his wife Dorothy J. (Colpaert) Digruttolo, sons Daniel of Confluence, David of Mt. Cobb, Calif., and Darrell of Addison, five grandchildren, Aimee Jacobs, Steve and Kacey Digruttolo, Mark and Angela Digruttolo; two step-grandchildren and a great-grandson Matthew Jacobs. Also a brother James Digruttolo of Sarasota, Fla. and sisters Gladys Barry of Brownsville and Wilma Younkin of Casselman. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired from the Western Maryland Railroad. He was also employed at General Refractories of Fort Hill and by Wright Brothers of Addison. He was a member of the Harnedsville United Methodist Church. Friends will be received at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence on Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. the hour of service, Rev.
