Mr. Pasquale was born in Montario Romano, Italy, October 25, 1876, and emigrated to America about 35 years ago. He first located in this community 30 years ago, and was employed in nearby Shaw Mines. Later he removed to Meyersdale and erected a fine residence and an extensive greenhouse plant on Large Street, having learned all about the propagation of flowers, plants and shrubbery in the country of his birth. He was accomplished in his line, and also quite successful. He continued operating his greenhouse plant until about two years ago, when he retired and his sons took over the business. He was twice married, his first wife passing away about three years ago. Surviving are his second wife, Mrs. Bridget (Patsy) De Pasquale, and these children: Joseph and Frederick Di Pasquale, who conduct the greenhouse; Mrs. Andrew Tattarelli, Meyersdale; Mrs. Ralph Moore, residing in the Panama Canal Zone; Mrs. Stephen Spezeaferro, Cleveland, Ohio, and Miss Ethel Di Pasquale, at home. Recently, Mr. Di Pasquale erected a dwelling house on Thomas Street and also intended building a greenhouse on his property there, having had much of the material assembled for that purpose. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Di Pasquale, and was highly esteemed by all his friends and neighbors - a good citizen, honest in all his dealings, and generous to a fault. Funeral services were held today (Thursday) in SS. Philip and James Catholic Church, the Rev. Father Howard T. Miller officiating. Interment was in SS. Philip and James Cemetery under the direction of R. Reich & Son, local morticians. Meyersdale Republican, November 14, 1940
