Direnzo, 83, South Lynn Ave. Somerset, died June 14, 1986, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born May 27, 1903, in Aquila, Entrodaqa Province, Italy, son of the late Dominico and Clorenda (Tumberlini) Direnzo. Preceded in death by son, Dominick; a grandaughter, Mary Catherine; three sisters, Anina Barley, Elisabeth Reis, and Mary Tiberi; and four brothers: Selvestro, Pasqualio, Michael and John. Survived by his wife, the former Lena Ida Testa, and these children, Mrs. James (Mary Louise) Maggard, Milfore, Ohio; Harry M. Jr., Somerset; Alfred M., Somerset RD 6; Mrs. Julia Ann Luteri, and Mrs. Angelo (Lorraine) Maragioglio, both of Somserset; and Joseph G., Somerset RD 6; 18 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Former owner and operator of Direnzo's Motel and Restaurant, and Direnzo's Beverage Distributorship. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, life member of Somserset Volunteer Fire Department, and the Boswell Sons of Italy, member of F.O.E., Aerie #1801. Recipient of Pa. Medical Society's Benjamin Rush Award in 1978. Friends received 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the HaugerZeigler Funeral Home. Mass of the Christian Burial Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Rev. Father Samuel Tomaseli, celebrant. Interment, Husband Cemetery.
