The truck overturned and Dirienzo's head was caught between the door and the body of the vehicle. He suffered a broken neck, fractured skull and other injuries and is believed to have died instantly. Deputy Coroner C. S. Beck, who made an investigation said the foot brakes of the truck apparently failed and the accident occurred when the driver applied the emergency brake, which was found to be on tight when the wrecked vehicle was examined. Dirienzo was enroute to Somerset after having delivered a cargo to Confluence. He and his brothers, Harry and John, had been engaged for some time in the beverage distribution business. He was a son of the late Dominick Dirienzo and of Mrs. Clorenda Dirienzo of Somerset. Surviving are his wife mentioned above and four children - Adeline and Caroline, twins; Samuel and Rodger; his brothers, Harry and John, his sisters, Miss Mary Dirienzo, all of Somerset, and Mrs. Elizabeth Reese of Rochester, Pa. Funeral services were conducted at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning in St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset, by the rector, Rev. Father Albert S. Gartland. Interment in the Husband Cemetery.
