ERMA DITZLER

  Word was received here Tuesday by Mrs. Joseph Slagle of the death after a 
brief illness of Mrs. Erma Landis Ditzler, widow of the late Rev. John A. 
Ditzler, former pastor of Amity Reformed Church.  Rev. Ditzler followed Dr. A. 
E. Truxal in the pastorate here, but served not quite two years when he died 
suddenly, March 9, 1924.  In the short time they were here Rev. and Mrs. Ditzler 
endeared themselves in the hearts of their parishioners and others of the 
community.
  Mrs. Ditzler and her daughter, Ruth, who was born in Meyersdale shortly before 
her father's death, have been residing in New Holland, Pa., where Mrs. Ditzler 
was employed as a teacher in the Home Economics department of the New Holland 
High School and was president of the Business and Professional Women's Club 
there.  Ruth is now a senior in high school.
  Funeral services for Mrs. Ditzler were conducted this Thursday afternoon.
