"Bud" Dively, 79, of Friedens, died Aug. 8, 1997, at home. Born Dec. 4, 1917, in Somerset Township, son of Charles William and Rose (Shaulis) Dively. Preceded in death by parents; daughters: June Barbin and Elizabeth Dively; brother, A.J. "Jim", and sister, June Duliere. Survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Lucy Roden, originally from Stroke on Trent, England, and these children: Karen, Conflunce; Richard and wife Karen, Columbia, S.C.; Charles B. and wife Jill, St Paul, Minn.; Melissa K., Milford Township, and Margaret, married to Jeffrey Osselburn, Houston, Texas; also 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Brother of Margaret Leslie, Cannonsburg, and William, Friedens. Retired from Ryan Homes, Pittsburgh. Former member of the Yukon Lions Club and the Somerset VFW. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Private service at the convenience of the family, Rev. John Palko officiating.
