Dively, 79, of Friedens RD 2 died Dec. 21, 1972, in his residence. He was born Nov. 9, 1893, in Shanksville, a son of the late George and Margaret Glessner Dively. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee and Nevin; and a sister, Grace. He is survived by his widow the former Rose L. Shaulis; children, Mrs. Margaret Leslie of Cannonsburg; William H. of Friedens; Mrs. George (June) Duliere of Somerset; Charles R. of West Newton; and A.J. of Pittsburg; 26 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Elwood of Friedens. He was a member of the Friedens Lutheran Church and was the owner of the Dively Antique Shop, Friedens. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. James R. Ling. Interment in Casebeer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Cancer Society. Daily American, 23 December 1972 [D0690]
