Dively, 88, of Friedens RD 1 died March 14, 1996, at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. Born Jan. 13, 1908, in Somerset Township. Son of Lee and Susan (Moore) Dively. Preceded in death by parents and granddaughter, Lisbeth Dively. Survived by his wife of 66 years, the former Mildred Weighley, and these children: John, married to the former Dorothy Mull, Friedens RD 1; George "Duck", married to the former Dorothy Miller, Somerset RD 1; Leroy, married to the former Teresa Reckner, Confluence; Eleanor, married to Robert D. Custer, Stoystown, RD 3; Larry, married to the former Leona Bittner, Somerset RD 7, and Floyd, married to the former Sandra Gasperine, Friedens RD 1. Sixteen grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Brother of Emma Florence, married to Luther Clark, Ligonier. World War II Army veteran. Retired from PennDOT and formerly owned and operated Dively Antiques. Member of Geiger Church of the Brethren and Jenner Rod and Gun Club. Founding member and director of the Geiger Community Center. Organizer and former leader of Geiger 4-H Club. An avid hunter and fisherman. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Gerald E. Deffenbaugh and Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to Geiger Church of the Brethren, RD 1 Friedens, Pa. 15541.
