Dively, 66, Sherwood Drive, Citrus Grove Estate, Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Davidsville, died June 16,1979, in L.W.Blake Memorial Hospital, Bradenton. Born Jan. 20, 1913, in Berlin, he was a son of Harvey W. and Lulu (Griest) Dively. He was preceded in death by parents; one brother; one sister: and wife, Katherine Wagner, who did July 12,1975. He is survived by children, Carolyn Thomas, Davidsville; William P., married to Lynn (Auman), Somers Point, N.J.; three grandchildren; sisters, Janet, wife of Lester Morgan, Vero Beach, Fla.; Ruth, wife of the Rev. Jerome Kaufman, Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of St.David's Lutheran Church, Davidsville, where he served as Sunday School teacher and councilman. He was a veteran of World War II; retired from a journalisstic career. He taught English Composition at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Friends were received at George E. Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville. Services were held at St.David's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Luther A. Gotwald officiating. Interment, Kaufman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart Fund or the Memorial Fund of St. David's Lutheran Church. The Republic June 21, 1979 [DO722]
