He was born February 24, 1918, in Somerset, a son of Effie Hauger Dixon of Somerset and the late Dorothy J. He is survived by his widow, the former Gladys Dickson; and a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Reck of Troy, Michigan; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen; a brother, Walter; and a sister, Melba. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Royden of Temple Terrace, Florida; Glenn of Alexandria, Virginia; and Mary Elizabeth Dixon of Lancaster, Pa. He was a retired Lt. Col. of the U.S. Army and a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict; was employed by the Clintondale School District; and was a member of the American Lutheran Church of Fraser, Michigan; the F&AM Lodge 522 of Roseville, Michigan; and the Macomb White Shrine. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the American Lutheran Church, Fraser, Michigan. Friends will be received after 10 a.m. Thursday in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. H. James Meyers officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
