Dixon, 80, of 619 Walnut Avenue, Fairmont, W.Va., died Monday, Dec. 19, 1988, at the Henry Clay Villa in Markleysburg. Born October 18, 1908 near Friendsville, Md., she was a daughter of the late Lloyd Jasper Grove and Mary Ellen (Beckett) Grove. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul F. Dixon, on May 18, 1970. She was a homemaker, a member of the Mill Run Mercy Chapel and a 1927 graduate of Accident High School. She is survived by four sons, Warren L. Dixon, Confluence; Richard I Dixon, Newport News, Va.; Theodore F. Dixon, Claysville; and Kenneth L. Dixon, Wheeling, W.Va.; two brothers, Floyd Grove, Mill Run; and John Grove, Philadelphia; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Glass, Keyser's Ridge; and Mrs. Pauline Queer, Mount Pleasant; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home in Friendsville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Thrusday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home by Pastor Thomas Crogan.
