Dodds and a long-time resident of the Western Pennsylvania area, died at the home of her daughter in Portsmouth, Va. on Feb. 28, 1999. She had worked at various professional secretarial positions in the Pittsburgh area prior to retiring to Confluence after the death of her husband in 1972. She continued to be active in several civic organizations and worked part-time at Mountain Real Estate in that town. Member of the United Methodist Church of Confluence. Mrs. Dodds moved to Ballmead, part of Presbyterian SeniorCare in Washington, Pa., in 1994. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Jerry Ange; two granddaughters and their husbands, Wendy and Steve Barnes and Tracy and Chris Miale; and four great-grandsons: Brandon, Justin, Joey and Christopher, all of Portsmouth, Va. Surviving siblings include Jane Marshall, Olive Jumet and John Porter of Washington, Pa., and Robert Porter of Florida. Preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Porter Miller and Dorothy Potter Sanders. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 6, in Hillsview Chapel at Presbyterian SeniorCare, 825 South Main St., Washington, Pa.
