  DOHERTY
  
  Mary Catherine Doherty, 90, of Somerset, died July 4, 1986, at her 
  residence.  Born June 28, 1896, in Derry, she is the daughter of the late 
  Joseph and Mary Ann (McWey) Myers.  Also preceded in death by her 
  husband, Patrick Joseph; two daughters, Sara Ann and Patricia Josephine; 
  three sisters and one brother.  She is survived by these children: Mrs. 
  Rosemary Jordan of Somerset and Philadelphia; Miss Teresa Jane Doherty of 
  Rockville, Md.; Mrs. Frances I. (Martha Jean) Dowd of Tampa, Fla.; John 
  Patrick of Silver Spring, Md.; Charles Michael of Canoga Park, Calif.; 
  and James Thomas of Potomac, Md.; six granddaughters; and five 
  grandsons, including James T. Jordan, who has continued the family
  business.  
  Sister of: Mrs. Angela O' Toole of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Blanch Dryer of 
  Levittown and Mrs. Rosella Schmittle of Hollidaysburg.  She was a member of 
  St. Peter's Catholic Church, and co-owner and operator of Doherty 
  Hardware Co. in Somerset.  Friends received 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the 
  Zeigler Funeral Home.  Services will be conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. at 
  St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Samuel Tomaselli 
  officiating.  Interment, St. Vincent's Cemetery, Latrobe.  Rosary will be 
  conducted at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
