  THELMA C. DOKE
  
  July 23, 1902 - November 30, 2001
  
    Thelma C. Doke, 99, of Street, Md., formerly of Somerset County, died 
  Nov. 30, 2001, at Calvert Manor Nursing Home, Rising Sun, Md.
    Born Nov. 30, 1902, in Somerset County, she was the daughter of the 
  late John Francis Snyder and the late Christine (Shaffer) Snyder 
  Troutman and her late step-father James D. Troutman.  She was preceded in 
  death by her husbands, Frank E. Miller and Lee O. Doke; five children: Mary 
  Susan Krygsman, James R. Miller, Margaret Miller, Ronald Miller and 
  Phillip Miller; a sister, Mary A. Soltis; and three half-brothers, 
  Woodrow, Allen and Zane Troutman.
    She is survived by a son, Robert E. Miller, Garrett; two daughters, 
  Lorayne M. Ickes and Thelma L. Dorsey, both of Street; five 
  grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
    Thelma lived in Harford County since 1962.  She attended the Church 
  of the Ascension in Street and the Zion Lutheran Church in Meyersdale.  
  She was an avid card player and reader, enjoyed crosswords puzzles and 
  was an excellent cook.
    The funeral service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Harkins Funeral 
  Home, 600 Main St., Delta, Pa.  Burial was scheduled at Somerset County 
  Memorial Park at 1:30 p.m Wednesday, Dec. 5.
    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calvert Manor 
  Nursing Home, 1811 Telegraph Road, Rising Sun, Md. 21911.
