Dolde, 75, of Connellsville RD 2, died Wednesday, July 17, 1985, at his home. He was born in Edgewood, Pa., Aug, 16, 1909, the son of the late Harry Edward and Katherine (Brand) Dolde. He was a retired wire chief for Bell of Pennsylvania where he had been employed for 44 years. He was a former member of Connellsville City Council and served as mayor of Connellsville from 1971-73. He was president of the Board of Trustees of the Carnegie Free Library. He was a member of the Somerset Aero Club and past president of the Connellsville Kiwanis Club and was a former Boy Scout counselor and amateur radio operator. He was a member and past Worshipful Master of Dorie Lodge, F.&A.M. of Sewickley. Member of Uniontown Lodge of Perfection and Consistory Valley of Pittsburgh. He was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Connellsville. Surviving are his wife, Normigene W. Dolde; a step-daughter, Mrs. Regis P. Murtha of Connellsville RD 2; three sons: Thomas E. and Donald both of Connellsville; and Richard of Canton, Ohio; five grandchildren; and three brothers: William E. of Connellsville; Frank L. of Bellvue, Pa.; and Norman B. of Mira Loma, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Ingram of Moon Township. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard E. Dolde. Friends will be received at the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 East Green St., Connellsville, Friday 1-9 p.m. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Robert Keplinger officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park. Family requests memorial contributions to the Carnegie Free Library. Daily American, July 18, 1985 [D0775]
