Born Feb. 7, 1943, in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late John J. and Eva Marie (Hesse) Frizzell. She is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, John A. Dom Sr., whom she married Oct. 17, 1959; sons, John Dom Jr. and wife, Victoria, Covina, Calif.; Scott Dom and wife, Lisa, Pomona, Calif.; a daughter, Kelley Knotts and husband, Mark, Meyersdale; three grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob and Daniel; and brother, John "Jack" Frizzell and wife, Joan, Port Charlotte, Fla.; a special family friend, Kevin Knotts and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dottie attended Meyersdale High School and earned an Associates degree from Citrus College in Azusa, Calif. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a hairdresser for many of her neighbors and family, and worked at Martins foods. Dottie also cared for many young children for various families over the years. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Lavale, Md. She served on the Altar Guild and in the Quilting Group. She also knitted bonnets for newborn babies for the local hospitals. Dottie enjoyed many activities including, horseback riding, scrap booking, crocheting, sewing, biking, camping and the outdoors. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church, 1222 Vocke Road, Lavale. The Rev. Charles Erzkus and Vicar Michael Parsh officiating. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Lavale. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or American Cancer Society.
