"Red" Donaldson, 62, of Mill Run RD 1, died Dec. 5, 1996, at his home. Born Aug. 8, 1934 in Normalville, a son of the late Bruce and Henrietta (Basinger) Donaldson. He was a graduate of Connellsville High School in 1953 and owner and operator of Donaldson Lumber Co., which he operated for 35 years. Survived by his wife, Laura Ritenour Donaldson; four sons: Harold Arnold Donaldson Jr. and his wife Sandy (McMillen) of Mill Run; Barry Lee Donaldson and his wife Brenda (Nicholson) of Mill Run; Timothy A. Donaldson and his wife Terry (Swan) of Normalville, and David Ray Donaldson and his wife Tammy (Kern) of Normalville; three daughters: Mrs. Thomas (Candy) Goodwin of Mill Run; Mrs. Mark (Kathy) Bigam of Normalville; and Mrs. David (Carol) Pyle of Somerset; 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; two brothers: Edward Donaldson of Dunbar and Donald Pirl of Normalville; two sisters, Daisy Fitzpatrick of Baltimore, Md., and Margaret Geary of Champion. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Sarah Porterfield. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Melcroft, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev.
