      Marvin L. Donaldson, 77 of Garrett, died January 14, 2008 at his home.
      He was born November 16, 1930 in Martinsburg, WV, son of the late 
  Charles L. and Charm (Hayes) Donaldson. Also preceded in death by his 
  wife Naomi R. (Hutzell) Donaldson, grandson William Donaldson, brother 
  Harold "Popeye" Donaldson, and two infant sisters.
      He is survived by these children: Wayne Donaldson, and his wife 
  Olivia, El Paso, TX; Judy, wife of Jake Beal, Meyersdale; Tina, wife of 
  Bryan Coleman, Berlin; Jerry Donaldson, and his wife Bernie, Garrett; 
  and Lisa, wife of Rick Flowers, Garrett.
      Also survived by 11 grandchildren: Wayne, Maribel, Sandra, Tony, 
  Denise, Jeff, Justin, Levi, Alex, Jamie and Lacie; and 17 great 
  grandchildren, and a special niece Suzanne Brant. A brother of Betty 
  Kemp, Meyersdale; Robert Donaldson, Meyersdale; and Leroy Donaldson, 
  Garrett. Also survived by sister-in-law Shirley Donaldson, Garrett, and 
  brother-in-law Paul Hutzell and wife Sharon, Indian Trail, NC.
      An honorary member of the Garrett Vol. Fire Department where he served 
  as past chief and president during his 50 plus years of service. He 
  retired from Penn Pocahontas Coal Co. in Garrett where he was 
  superintendent with 19 years of service.
      Marvin was well loved and will be missed by family and friends.
      Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Price 
  Funeral Home in Meyersdale. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 
  a.m. Thursday at the United Church of Christ in Garrett, with the Rev. 
  Kenneth Davis officiating. Interment at the Highland Cemetery Garrett.
