  Joseph Donio, 76, of 412 Meredith St., Kennett Square, formerly of 
  Boswell, died Oct. 1, 1981 at Chester County Hospital, West Chester.  Born
  April 9, 1905, in Monforte San Giorgio, Italy, son of Santo and Mary
  (Agnello) Donio.  Preceded in death by parents, son Joseph, sister
  Antoinette, and brothers Jack, Fiore, Melio, Frank and Sam.  Survived by
  widow, the former Mamie Calderone, and these children Mrs. Mary Canonico,
  Kennett Square; Mrs. Antoinette Shadron, Haskell, N.J.; Mrs. Nancy Gowarty,
  Jenners; and Miss Martha at home; five grandchildren, four great
  grandchildren.  He was a  brother of Mrs. Mary Basile, Italy.  Member of St
  Patrick's Catholic  Church,  Kennett Square, and Jenner Rod and Gun Club.
  Retired coal miner with over 40 years service.  Friends received from 3-5
  and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 469 Main St., Boswell, where
  wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.  Mass of Christian Burial
  10 a.m. Monday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Boswell, the Rev.
  Lawrence Wolkonowski, O.F.M. Conv.  Interment, Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
