  John P. Donitzen, 67, of Garrett, died Aug 18, 2000 in Meyersdale  Manor.  
  Born June 28, 1933 in Somerset, a son of the late Frank A. and Meri 
  (Tarris) Donitzen.  Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (St. Clair)
  Donitzen on  April 28, 2000.  Survived by these children: John P. II, Ruth
  Ann, and  Christine Donitzen, all of Garrett, Shirley, wife of Wm.  Brant,
  Meyersdale, Denise, wife of Tom James, Martinsburg, W. Va. and Veronica,
  wife of Duane Brown, Salisbury and 6 grandchildren.  Brother of Helen
  Chizick, Port Layden, N.Y., Pauline Purcell, Salem, Ill., Harriet
  Konarzewski, Sterling Heights, Mich., Sophia Watson, Belair, Md., and
  Mary Washnock, Safety Harbor, Fla.  Member of Sts. Philip and James
  Catholic Church, Meyersdale.  A veteran of the  Korean conflict and member
  of Meyersdale VFW.  Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in
  Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale.  The Rosary will be at 3:30 p.m. at
  funeral the funeral home.  The funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at
  Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church with Father Donald W. Dysza.  
  Internment, Beam Cemetery.
