DOOLAN Last Friday James Darnley was summoned to Lonaconing, Md., to attend the funeral rites of his brother-in-law, Frank A. Doolan, aged 52, and well known by many in Meyersdale, which were held at 9:30 o'clock in St. Mary's Church, the Rev. James Murphy, rector, officiating, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Mr. Doolan was the son of the late Dennis and Anna Doolan, and had been ill for the past two years. He was well known throughout the tri-state area, and had been engaged in business in Lonaconing and Cumberland, some years ago making frequent visits to Meyersdale to visit Mr. Darnley and other friends. Besides his widow, Mrs. Christina (Darnley) Doolan, he leaves the following children: John Doolan, Mrs. Alice Kenny, Harold Doolan, Frank Doolan, Jr., Paul Doolan, Catherine Doolan, Carroll Doolan, Patrick Doolan and Ann Doolan. One brother, Patrick Doolan, and two sisters, Mrs. Julia McGraw, Mrs. Edward Atkinson, and eight grandchildren, all of Lonaconing, also survive. Meyersdale Republican, February 8, 1940
