DORSEY GRANTSVILLE, Md., July 12 - Miss Mary C. Dorsey, widely known throughout the county, and held in high esteem by a large number of friends, died Monday morning, July 11th, at the Allegheny Hospital, Cumberland, Md., where she had been a patient for four weeks. Death was due to diabetes and complications. Miss Dorsey was a daughter of the late Patrick and Sarah Dorsey. She was born January 21, 1862, at Ashtola, Pa. She came with her parents to Garrett County at the age of one year and has made her home in the county since that time. She was a teacher in the county for many years. In 1902 she came with her sisters, Misses Maggie and Carrie and her brother, Daniel to the Casselman Hotel, where she took over management of the hotel. Miss Mollie was a woman of noble character, active in her home and community, and a faithful member of the St. Stephen's Catholic Church. She is survived by a sister, Sister Mary Luca, of St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, Ind., four brothers, Dr. Frank P. Dorsey, Hartington, Neb., James B. Dorsey, Everett, Wash., Daniel and Dr. J. H. Dorsey, Grantsville, Md., and a great many friends. Funeral services were held in the Grantsville Catholic Church, Wednesday morning, with Rev. Father Cuthert in charge. Burial in St. Michael's Cemetery, Frostburg, Md. Meyersdale Republican, July 14, 1932
