  PYLE-DOUGHERTY
  
  Laura C. Pyle-Dougherty, 85, Somerset, died Nov. 1, 1988, in Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  Born June 9, 1903, in Somerset Township, daughter of
  the late Joseph and Emma (Stutzman) Cann.  Preceded in death by first
  husband, Edward S. Pyle, and second husband, James W. Dougherty.  Survived
  by son, James L. Pyle, Somerset; three step-grandchildren, 11
  step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-granddaughter.  Member of
  the First United Methodist Church.  Retired employee of the Pine Grill
  Restaurant.  Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be held at 10 a.m.
  Thursday, with the Rev. Arthur Gotjen officiating.  Interment, Husband
  Cemetery.
