  Steve Drabish, 79, of Walton Hills, Ohio died Sept. 10, 2000 at Wyant Woods
  Care Center after being ill for several months.  Steve was preceded in death
  by brothers George and Frank.  Steve was the beloved husband of Carole
  (Champness-Sigal), dear father of Stephanie Foley (Gary); Deborah Romesberg
  (Ron); and Sheri Heller (Carl); the step-father of Jay Sigal, Gayle Soeder
  (James) and Robert Sigal (Michele); the grandfather of Scott Marshall
  (Patti); Christopher Marshall (Robin); Heidi Short (Jon) and Kent
  Romesberg;  Step-grandfather of Elliott and Tyler Soeder, Erika and Anthony
  Czech and Carl R. (Linda) Heller.  He also leaves three great-grandchildren
  Jon and Pat Marshall and Jessica Swangim.  He is survived by sister Ann
  Conrad (Charles), brother Nicolas (Jean) and sister-in-law Ruth.  He also
  leaves special furry friend Benji.  Steve was born in Berlin (Good Town)
  and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He came to Ohio in 1953 residing in
  Akron, Tallmadge and Walton Hills.  After retiring from Kaplan Trucking Co.
  in 1989, he loved going to auctions and restoring old radios and antiques.  
  He spent countless hours in his workshop fixing and restoring pieces not
  only for auctions, but also for family and friends,  Cremation has taken
  place and a memorial service and gathering for family and friends will be
  held at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at the Akron Christian Reformed Church,
  2545 Newton St., Akron, Ohio.  Phone 330-733-8844.
