DREES William Stanley Drees, 58, of RD 2, Finzel Road, Maryland, died suddenly January 11, 1983 while hauling wood with a small tractor near his home. He was born in Finzel, and was a son of Mrs. Dessie (Rosenberger) Drees, who is a patient at the Frostburg Nursing Home, Maryland and the late Anthony Drees. He was a former employee of the Kaiser Refractories. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church; Old Rail Post 6025, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mount Savage, Maryland; Farrady Post 24, American Legion; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1273; and the Laurel Falls Association, a sportsmen's club in Meyersdale. Surviving besides his mother are his widow, Mrs. Nellie (Mull) Drees; one daughter, Mrs. Colleen Brode, Finzel; two sons, Gary Drees, Frostburg; Gene Drees, at home; two brothers, Anthony Drees, Finzel; Larry Drees, Pocahontas; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Lynch and Mrs. Shirley Winner, both of Frostburg; Mrs. Margaret Baer, Pocahontas; Mrs. Mary Jane Burdock, Finzel; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
