Drenner, 65 of Garrett, went home to be with the Lord July 16, 2008 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center Johnstown, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born November 27, 1942 in Garrett, son of Carl "Tip" and Evelyn "Maggie" (Bush) Drenner. Preceded in death by his father; brother-in-law Bob Weigle; and nephew Ray "Shake" Hostetler. He is survived by his mother "Maggie"; wife Ingrid (Wolf) Drenner, Garrett; son Duane Bruner and his wife Mary, Somerset; granddaughter Anna; and sister Norma Jean Weigle, Garrett. Also survived by nieces Karla, wife of Butch Walker; and Bobbi, wife of Dave Davis; nephew Kyle Davis; and godson William Kuhn. Bill graduated from Meyersdale High School in 1960. In 196320he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and traveled the world courtesy of Uncle Sam. From the shores of Tripoli, Libya, North Africa, to the steamy Island of Guam, the Black Hills of SD and the lush forest of Germany at Ramstein Air Force Base. After being honorably discharged in 1969 he became the manager of Valley Sportsman's in Beaver Falls. When the store closed he worked at the main office of Insul Co. in East Palestine, OH. After retirement in 1997 he fulfilled his lifelong dream and moved to Colorado. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He was a life member of the VFW, a member of American Legion Post 0261, Rocky Mt. Elk Foundation, Sertoma International, Ducks Unlimited, Safari Club International, County Sheriffs of CO, Trap League of Beaver Falls Sportsman's Club. He received numerous commendations for his charitable contributions such as fishing derby's for the handicapped, and scholarships for high school students. He always reminded his friends that he played football for Meyersdale High School and also while he was in the Air Force. He loved the game and was a great Steeler fan. Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale, where service was conducted, with the Rev. Robert Finif of Howard, CO officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
