Drenning, 81, York, formerly of Hooversville, died Dec. 10, 2007, at HCR Manor Care, Dallastown. Born Aug. 2, 1926, in Atlanta, Ga., the daughter of William Albert and Cora Mae (Fraser) Wadsworth. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Merle Ray Shaffer; second husband, Roy Melvin Drenning; sister, Ozella Chappelear; brother, William; sons, Charles Melvin and Roy Jr.; grandsons, Larry James and Summer Drenning; and a special son-in-law, Telford Jake Blough. Survived by these children and stepchildren, Merle Ray and wife, Sandra (Hostetler) Shaffer, Rodney Keith and wife, Anna Stern Gindlesperger Shaffer, Terry Lee and wife, Bernadette Mincik Shaffer, all of Hooversville; Jack Wayne Drenning, York; Lisa Drenning, New Castle; Judy Mae, married to Craig Nash, Sherman, Texas; Patty Ann, widow of Telford Jake Blough, married to Kenneth Willkow, Garrett; Cindy Lou, married to Simon Storm, York; Danny A. (Rusty) and wife, Melba D. Campbell, Fairview, Idaho; Angela Jill, married to Brad Henry, Indiana; Gladys Marie, married to Mauro Bucci, Windber; Cloyd and wife, Rosie Marion Wentz, Alum Bank; Rebecca Virginia, married to Albert Clark Lambert, Alsip, Ill.; Donald David and wife, Sharon Dian Sellers, Elcajon, Calif.; Eugene William and wife, Shirley Harrison, Lagrange, Ill.; Norman Lewis and special friend, Bonnie Hambley, New Baltimore; and James Merle, married to Lois Jane Bender, Hooversville. Also survived by 91 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sister of James Thomas Wadsworth, Georgia. She is also survived by extended family, the administrative and nursing staff of HCR Manor Care, Dallastown, to whom much love and thanks are bequeathed for their endless care and loving dedication. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday.
