Born Dec. 3, 1947, in Somerset, a daughter of Clarence Rhoads, Stoystown, Jenner Township, and the late Frances (Lohr) Rhoads. Also survived by her husband of 24 years, John J. Drenning. Sister of Allen Rhoads, married to the former Judy Discavage, Stoystown; Glenn Rhoads, married to the former Debbie Braeseker, Rockwood; Nancy, married to James Elder, Somerset; and Duane Rhoads, married to the former Marie Hoover, Friedens. She leaves behind a good friend Anne Mantini, Davidsville, and her dog Lucky. She is a graduate of Slippery Rock University, and she taught for 35 years in North Star Elementary Schools. She was an avid skier and world traveler, who enjoyed life to its fullest. Member and past president of Horner Lutheran Church and a Meals on Wheels volunteer. No visitation or viewing. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Horner Lutheran Church. The Rev. Kathleen Kuehl officiating. Interment Horner-Mount Tabor Cemetery. Arrangements by Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.
