Drenning, 89, Hooversville RD 1, died March 6, 1996, at home. Born Jan. 11, 1907, at Six Mile run, son of Charles A. and L. Maie (Locard) Drenning. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Marshall; sisters, Blanch Leona and Gladys Marie; 3 infant children; daughter, Lila Laretta; son, Roy Jr.; 2 grandchildren, one infant grandchild, and first wife, Eula Thomas. Survived by wife, former Iona Wadsworth, and these children: Mrs. Mauro (Gladys) Bucci and Charles and wife Shirley Drenning, both of Windber; Cloyd and wife rosie Drenning of Alum Bank; Eugene and wife Shirley Drenning and Mrs. Albert (Rebecca) Lambert, all of Illinois; Donald and wife Sharon Drenning of El Cajon, Calif.; Mrs. Craig (Judy) Nash of Jacksonville, Fla.; Lisa Drenning and Jack Drenning, both of York; Norman Drenning of Stoystown; Mrs. Kenneth (Patty) Wilko of Garrett; Cinday Fornwalt of Shanksville, Danny (Rusty) and wife Melba Drenning, Angela Drenning, Ray and Sandy Shaffer, Terry and Bernie Shaffer, Rod and Anna Shaffer and James and wife Loic Drenning, all of Hooversville; 34 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren. Member of Jenners Rod and Gun Club and UMWA. Family receiving friends from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m Saturday, the Rev. David Walker. Interment, P.O.S.A. Cemetery, Hooversville.
