Harrison Ave., Somerset. Mr. Dressler formerly of Pittsburgh, died Sept. 1 in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Oct. 14, 1893 in London, England and was a son to the late inventor and sculptor Conrad Dressler and his wife Nita. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Dressler; three daughters, Mrs. Jane Page of Denver, Cole., Mrs. N___ Maria Argyres of Lexington, Mass. And Mrs. _____ Kellar of Denver, and ___ grandchildren. He was a member of the University Club of Pittsburgh, Somerset Country Club, and St. Francis In The Fields Church. Dressler received a Masters Degree with honors from Cambridge University England. He was a recipient of an honorary Doctor of Engineering Degree at Alfred University, N.Y. He has won the Trinks Engineering Award and was an Emeritus Fellow of the American Ceramics Society. Mr. Dressler was active in the formation of the Swindell-Dressler Corp. in 1930 when the William Swindell and Brothers Co. joined with American Dressler Tunnel Kilns Inc. Mr. Dressler was named a vice-president when Swindell-Dressler became a division of Pullman Inc. The tunnel kiln was invented by Mr. Dressler's father. Officiating at the funeral services was the Rev. William B. Tafel, Rector of St. Francis In The Fields. Interment at Husband Cemetery was under the direction of the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home.
