Pastors Driscoll, 81, of Connellsville, passed away March 26, 2002, in Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate in Somerset. She was born July 1, 1920, in Connellsville. A daughter of the late George and Mary Hudak Pastors. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, George and Charles Pastors. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia M. Sanders and her husband Richard of Somerset; two grandchildren, Mark R. Sanders and his wife Aileen E. of Pittsburgh, and Gretchen P. Sanders of Pittsburgh; sisters-n-law, Marcella Munson and her husband George of Connellsville, and Irene Pastors of White Oak Borough; several nieces and nephews. Helen was a member of St. John's Evangelist R.C. Church all of her life, and the 8:30 Mass Ladies Choir & Christian Mothers. She was graduated from Connellsville High School with the Class of 1938. Helen was retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. in South Connellsville, where she was employed as an inspector for 24 years. She was a member of G.B.B.A. Local 136 and also served as shop steward. Helen was instrumental in organizing the G.B.B.A. Union Retirees Branch Eight, where she served as vice president and president. Helen enjoyed interior decorating, cooking, and planning parties and entertaining her friends. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Vito C. Martucci Funeral Home, 123 South First Street, West Side Connellsville. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. A Blessing Service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral service at 9 a.m. in St. John's Evangelist R.C. Church with Rev. John Butler as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John's Church Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Monday in St. John's Evangelist R.C. Church. Daily American March 28, 2002 [D0911]
