RICHARD DUECKER

  SOUTH GARRETT, April 5 - Richard, four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. William F. 
Duecker, died Monday night from diptheria.  The child had been ill for two 
weeks, and before being taken ill had been in robust health.  Dr. Glass was the 
attending physician.  There was no school Tuesday afternoon, and the Duecker 
home, not being quarantined, his other children were attending school. So all 
the pupils were dismissed Tuesday afternoon for the purpose of fumigating all 
the rooms.  Little Richard was a bright and lovely child and will be missed in 
the home and school.  He is survived by several brothers and sisters and his 
parents.
