Born March 20, 1917, in Pittsburgh, son of Edward and Naomi (Landman) Duerring. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, Clara Madeline, and second wife, Helen Joanne; son Harold Anthony Jr., and brothers, Donald, Eddy and Roy. Survived by these children: Ronald Lee Sr., married to the former Cindy J. Becker; Kenneth W., married to the former Bertha (Walker) Hotchkiss, both of Garrett; Dennis A. Sr., married to the former Cheryl Deaner, and Donna L. married to Robert Phillips, both of Gray; grandchildren: Michelle Lynn Colizza, Ronald Anthony, Ronald Lee II, Desirae A., Dennis Jr., Daniel Duerring and Rachel Lynn Sheftic; step-grandchildren, Michael, Wendy and Harold Hotchkiss; great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Victoria, Kortni, Brooke, Haile, Cory and Zachery. Also a brother, Burton, of Mars. He was a member of Berlin Legion Post 445. A World War II Army veteran and master sergeant of one of the last horse cavalry soldiers. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Ralph Landis officiating.
