    Bertha (Tinkey) Durst

  Bertha (Tinkey) Durst, 94, Somerset, passed on Nov. 1, 2004, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born March 30, 1910, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, she is the
  daughter of the late Samuel and Ida (Pyle) Tinkey.  She is preceded in death
  by her parents; first husband Fred Hamer; second husband William E. Durst;
  and daughter Mary Jane McVey.  She is survived by her children, Joyce,
  married to Joe Cuteri, Coraopolis; Ida Lee Hamer, Somerset; the Rev. David
  Hamer, married to Bonnie, Newton Falls, Ohio; and Stephen Hamer, Colorado;
  numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister Virginia Crooks,
  married to Robert, Poland, Ohio.  Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at
  Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 10 a.m.  
  Saturday.  The Rev. Lowell McVey officiating.  Interment at Ferguson-Nedrow
  Cemetery, Westmoreland County.
