Born Nov. 19, 1889, in Forward, Pa., daughter of William E. and Mary Catherine (Schmidt) Lohr. Preceded in death by husband J. Clarence; daughter, Mary Ruth; sisters, Ida Firl and Bertie Lohr; and brothers, Plum and Harry. Survived by daughters, Mrs. Nellie M. Berkebile, Hooversville, and Dorothy, wife of Charles White, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; also five grandchildren, among whom is Garnel D. Ferre, Boswell; and 13 great-grandchildren. Sister of O.O. Lohr, Stoystown, and Bertha Kerr and Annie Fidler, both of Hooversville. Member of 13 Star auxiliary to Post 7565, VFW. Resident of Hooversville since 1900. Oldest life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Active in Senior Citizens, Hollsopple. Former tax collector, Hooversville. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Thomas P. Read Funeral Home, Hooversville, where memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday by auxiliary to VFW.
