Sr. 06/29/2006 The New Republic Edward B. Dunlap, Sr., 95, passed away June 16, 2006, at the Fairmount Health Center in Willoughby, OH. Mr. Dunlap was born October 10, 1910 in Canonsburg, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret. He resided in Concord Township, OH, for seven years and formerly lived in Euclid, OH for 45 year. He is survived by two sons: Edward B. and wife, Anna N. Dunlap, Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA; and Patrick and wife, Patricia, Dunlap of Eastlake, OH; two daughters, Virginia and husband, David Curry, of Eastlake, OH; and Eileen and husband, Jeffrey, Staats, of Willoughby, OH; and several grandchildren, Timothy and wife, Theresa, Dunlap; Maureen Hallas; Kathleen and husband, William, Kerns; Stephen and wife, Tracy, Dunlap; Thomas Curry, Michael and wife, Tracy, Curry; Patrick and wife, Sharon, Dunlap Jr.; Victoria and husband, Joseph, Volpe; Daniel Dunlap, Nicholas Dunlap, Jeffrey and wife, Bethany, Staats; and Kathryn Staats. Mr. Dunlap was Traffic Manager for the former Diamond-Alkali Corp in Painesville, Oh for 34 years, prior to his retirement in 1975. He was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Painesville and was a former member of the St. William and St. Roberts Churches in Euclid, OH. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Painesville Council. Mr. Dunlap enjoyed several hobbies, including playing the stock market, golfing and bowling. He was an avid piano player who played "Rag Time" music. Throughout his life he enjoyed sharing his talents as an amateur cartoonist. Mass of Christian Burial for Edward B. Dunlap, Sr., was held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at St. Mary Catholic Church 242 North State Street Painesville, OH, with Right Rev. Douglas Nowicki, O.S.B. Arch Abbot of St. Vincent Arch Abbyin Latrobe, Pa.; Rev. Paul Taylor, and Rev. Michael Stalla officiating. Interment - St. Mary Cemetery, Painesville, OH.
