The immediate cause of her death was adema of the brain, after having first suffered intensely for a week or two from other causes, in her own home. Her age, according to some of her relatives, was about 76 years, and she was born in West Salisbury, Pa. Mrs. Dunn was the last surviving child of William F. and Mary Christner Garlitz, who were residents of West Salisbury for many years. She is survived by her husband, who was in a serious condition and in the same hospital where Mrs. Dunn died, while relatives of hers were making arrangements to have her body brought to Salisbury for interment in the cemetery of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church. Funeral services for her were held in the church near said cemetery, this (Thursday) forenoon, Jan. 22, at nine o'clock, and were conducted by the Rev. Father Tomko of Meyersdale. Interment was made under the direction of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas of Salisbury, and the body, which was prepared for burial by an Akron mortician, was brought to Salisbury by Robert Hoke, who was sent for it by Mr. Thomas. Both Mr. and Mrs. Dunn were residents of Salisbury for a number of years before locating in Akron, and while they resided here, Mr. Dunn was in the restaurant business. Among other near relatives of Mrs. Dunn, who still reside here, are her niece, Mrs. Lottie Fate, and her nephew, S. C. Showalter. Meyersdale Republican, January 22, 1942
