Dupont, 56, Castalia, OH, died unexpectedly Friday, Feb.4, 1994 at his residence. He was born November 24, 1937 in Garrett, and was a 20 year employee of the former Westvaco Company, Sandusky, OH. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Sandusky, where he had served on the board of trustees. He was a former president and held other offices with the United Pulp and Paper Workers Union. He also coached little league in the Castalia Recreation League for many years. He is survived by his wife, the former Janet Walker, to whom he had been married for 37 years; three daughters: Mrs. Joe 'Teresa' Wilson of Sandusky: Mrs. Tony 'Sue' Westgate and Mrs. Bruce 'Carol' Spring, both of Castalia; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Gary 'Debra' Christner and Mrs. Tommy 'Cindy' Wellington, both of Garrett; and two brothers: Clarence Dupont of New London, OH; and Jerry Dupont of Garrett; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Charlotte 'Haer' Dupont and one sister Carol Dupont. Friends were received Monday at the Ransom Funeral Home, Castalia, and Tuesday until the time of service at the Church of the Nazarene, Sandusky, OH, with the Rev. David Flack officiating.
