Miss Duppstadt and her mother were enroute to Indiana to visit Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Henderson at the time of the crash. Born in Somerset on May 22, 1858, Mrs. Duppstadt was a daughter of William and Catherine (Jones) Statler. Her husband, George Duppstadt, passed away on November 28, 1928.
