(Chick) Duppstadt, 57, of Friedens RD 2, died July 12, 1989, Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Born Dec. 21, 1931, in Reels Corner. He is the son of the late Elwood Duppstadt. Also preceded in death by his wife, the former Elise (Whipkey) Holt; three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his mother, the former Frieda King, Stoystown RD 3, and these step-children, Chester Holt of Damascus, Md.; Mrs. Paul (Anna) Berkley, Friedens RD 2; Glenn Holt, California, Md.; and Mrs. Timothy (Linda) Ansell, Friedens RD 2; 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Kermit (Ellen) Custer, Central City; Mrs. Clarence (Dorothy) Troy; Friedens RD 2; Mrs. Minnie Davis and Mrs. Clyde (Edna) Stutzman, both of Pittsburgh; Claude, married to the former Gwen Walker of Midway Park, N.C; Kenneth; married to the former Donnna Langdon of Carlisle; Mrs. James (Shirley) Otto, Shelsburg; Elwood, married to the former Sydney Carmeny, and Jerry married to the former Karen Carmeny, both of Central City; Merle, Janet and Mrs. William (Emma Jean) Burket, all of Stoystown RD 3. He was a veteran of the Korean war, former member of the Buckstown Lutheran Church and a member of VFW Post 7457, Central City. Friends received from 7-9 p.m., Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, were services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Ronzel Jarvis officiating.
