Duppstadt, 88, Buckstown, died Jan. 9, 2008, at Siemon's Lakeview Manor Estate. Born April 8, 1919, in Stonycreek Township, the daughter of Walter and Sadie (Trent) Stutzman. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Virgil; sons, James and Ron Duppstadt; brothers, Harold and Merle Stutzman; and sisters, Mae Walker and Bernice Lepczyk. Survived by children, Jean Trella, Williamsport; Larry, married to the former Paulette Hager, Maryland; Barry, married to the former Kathleen Guthrie, Charlotte, N.C.; daughters-in-law, Carole Duppstadt, Buckstown and Buff Duppstadt, North Carolina; grandchildren, Melody Wetmiller, Mark, Matt and Mike Duppstadt, Michelle Kimmel, Lesa Hillegas, Jayne Winck, Michelle Key, Jennifer Giles, Susan, Lauren and Kyle Duppstadt; and 21 great-grandchildren. Sister of Ruth Whipple, California; Dorothy Reffner, Arizona; Jean Friedline, Somerset; and Ralph Stutzman, Friedens. A 1936 graduate of Stonycreek Township High School. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Buckstown. Past president and charter member of the Fourth Society of Farm Women, past president of Somerset County Farm Women and Pennsylvania State Farm Women. She was a former volunteer for RSVP and a member of OES Chapter 138 Somerset. She enjoyed crocheting and making quilt tops and was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 12:30 p.m. until service at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Buckstown.
