Duppstadt, 43, wife of the superintendent of the Meyersdale Area School District, died Jan. 4, 1981, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumerland, Md., following a lengthy illness. She was born Dec. 2, 1937, at Berlin RD 1, and was a daughter of Mrs. Florence (Lichty) Carver, Berlin RD 1, and the late Clarence F. Carver. She is survived by her husband, David D. Duppstadt, and a son, David, who is a senior at Meyersdale Area High School. Mrs. Duppstadt had taught business education in Meyersdale, Berlin and Tyrone school districts and was a graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she had received her bachelor of science degree; and Penn State University, where she had received her master's degree in education. She was the sister of Mrs. Violet Murphy of State College. She was a member of the Amity United Church of Christ, Meyersdale. Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, were services were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Lloyd Schriest and the Rev. Walter Fike officiating.
