Duppstadt, 79, of Willow Creek Drive, Bakerstown, died May 11 in Somerset Community Hospital. He was born in Somerset Township Aug. 7, 1893, a son of the late George and Mary Statler Duppstadt. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Mildred Curtis; his second wife, the former Isabel Smith McCombie; and brothers and sisters, Clarence W. of Somerset; Orlo A. of Vandergrift; Mrs. Lilliam Henderson of Indiana; and Mrs. Clara Cleeves of Somerset. He is survived by these sisters and a brother, Mrs. Elsie M. of Somerset; Mrs. Josephine D. Smith of Huntingdon; and Harold S. of Chrystal Beach, Fla. He received his education in the Somerset schools and optometry school at Peoria, Ill. He was member of the Highland Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh; Somerset Lodge No. 358 F&AM; Detroit Consistory; and Moslem Temple, Detroit. He was a veteran of World War I. Before his retirement to Richland Township, Allegheny County, he spent 30 years with Studebaker of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Sunday in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. John Earl Meyers. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park.
