He was born Feb. 8, 1931 in Greensburg, the son of Helena Kress Dupre of Seven Springs and the late Adolph A. Dupre. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Phillip Kress Dupre, Jr. He is survived by his wife the former Lois Fleckenstein; and these children: Christine, Kenneth, Adolph, Lorraine, Lynda, all at home; and Helen, wife of Eric Durfee of Bethel, Vermont. He is also survived by a brother, Herman K. of Seven Springs, and a sister, Luitgarde, wife of Frank Sujansky of Somerset RD 4. He was a member of the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Somerset, the Rockwood Rotary Club, Somerset County Development Council, a veteran of the Korean War, and co-owner of the Seven Springs Resort. Graveside services will be conducted at the convenience of the family at the Dupre family plot a Seven Springs under the direction of the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home. Public memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday in the Convention Hall at Seven Springs with Monsignor Geno Baroni, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Catholic Charities, P.O. Box 1349, Altoona-Johnstown, or to a favorite charity in memory of Phillip K. Dupre.
