SOPHIA DURR

  Mrs. Sophia Durr, 64, wife of Charles Durr, died at 3:30 o'clock Thursday 
afternoon, Feb. 1, at her home, 143 Keystone St., after an illness of several 
months.  She was born on Dec. 31, 1880, a daughter of the late Jacob and Martha 
(Arnold) Slaubaugh.
  In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children - Ray and Mrs. 
William Long, Meyersdale; William, Elk Ridge, Md.; Charles E., with the Army in 
New Guinea; John, in the Navy on the Atlantic; and Mrs. Mary Shipley, 
Connellsville.  She also leaves 10 grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.
  Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home of 
her daughter, Mrs. William Long, 29 High St., by Rev. Nelson C. Brown.  
Interment in Union Cemetery under the direction of H. R. Konhaus.
