Born April 16, 1925 in Somerset, the son of Milton John and Cora Elizabeth (Miller) Durst. Preceded in death by parents; son, Ricky Norman Durst; brothers, William, George and Lee A. Durst; and sisters, Louis Spangler and Alice Houpt. Survived by his wife, the former Felesene Berniece Sargent, to whom he was married for 50 years; children, Mrs. Barry E. (Bonnie Lou) Swank, Somerset, and Mrs. Joe (Sandra Lee) Price, Johnstown; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Brother of John M. Durst, Somerset; Mrs. Bessie Beam, Somerset; Clark Durst, Friedens, Franklin Durst, Ravenna, Ohio; Henry Durst, Haverhill, Mass. Member of First Christian Church. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Life member of VFW Post 554, Somerset, and F.O.E. 1801, Somerset. He was a dragline operator for Coal Junction Coal Co., for 16 years, retiring in 1985. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Daniel F. Nicksich officiating.
