Durst, 77, of 102 Miller Street, Grantsville, Md., died Friday July 26, 1985, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. He was born June 16, 1908 at New Germany, a son of the late Delbert Durst and Mamie (Broadwater) Durst. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and the Grantsville Senior Citizens. He was the retired owner and operator of Durst Dairy Mart, serving the Grantsville area for over 25 years. Prior to that, Mr. Durst was involved in trucking. He is survived by his widow, Esther M. (Yommer) Durst; two daughters, Mrs. Eloise Finzel, Grantsville; Mrs. Mary Alice Clark, Greenwood, Del.; three brothers, Glenn Durst, Star Route, Frostburg, Md.; Paul Durst, Grantsville, Md.; Gideon Durst, Accident, Md.; four sisters, Mrs. Gladys I. Durst and Mrs. Vera Merrill, both of Grantsville; Mrs., Dailey Rice, Lottsburg, Va.; Mrs,. Ruby Jenkins, Randallstown; five grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home. Services were conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at St., John's United Church of Christ by the Rev. Connell Chaney. Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
