  LESTER WILLIAM DURST
  
  Colleen Elizabeth Durst, 70, of Salisbury RD 1, died early Saturday, March
  20, 1993, at Conemaugh hospital, Johnstown.  Her husband, Lester William
  Durst, 75, died later in the morning of March 20 at Meyersdale Community
  Hospital, Meyersdale.  Mrs. Durst was born May 3, 1922, at Davis, W.Va., a
  daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Hathaway) Sowers.  She was
  homemaker.  Mr. Durst was born Dec. 26, 1917, at Garrett County, Md., a son
  of Lettie (Jennings) Durst of Salisbury and the late William Henry Durst.  
  He was a carpenter.  Both were members of Springs Mennonite Church.  Mr.
  and Mrs., Durst are survived by 2 sons, Aleck Kenneth Durst and Donald
  Warren Durst, both of Meyersdale; one daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Younkin,
  Springs, and 7 grandchildren.  Besides his mother, Mr. Durst is survived by
  2 brothers, Robert and Roy Durst, both of Salisbury; 2 sisters, Mary Alice
  Beistel, Salisbury, and Bettie Moser, Severna Park, Md.  Mrs. Durst is
  survived by a brother, Aleck Kennedy Sowers, New Mexico.  Friends of the
  couple were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md. Joint
  funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Springs Mennonite
  Church, with the Rev. Steven Heatwole officiating.  Interment, Springs
  Cemetery.  Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to
  services.
