  Emma G. Durst, 87, formerly of Grantsville, Md., died Monday at East View
  Care Home in Terra Alta, W.Va.
  
  Born here May 12, 1897, she was a daughter of the late Peter Beachy and
  Mary (Platter) Beachy.
  
  Mrs. Durst was a member of the Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren.  Her
  husband, Lawrence A. (Bun) Durst, died in 1971.
  
  She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Hockenberry, Gladesville,
  W.Va.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Verda Barron, New Brighton, Pa.; one stepson,
  Homer A. Durst, Midwest City, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Hartman,
  Salisbury, Pa.; Miss Pauline Beachy, Bel Air; one grandson, nine
  step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
  
  Friends may call at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Wednesday from 7
  to 9 p.m. and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
