Durst, 80, of RD Grantsville, Maryland, died January 20, 1983 at Frostburg Community Hospital, Maryland. She was born in Bittinger, Md., and was a daughter of the late Silas Platter and Bertha (Herman) Platter. Her husband, Harry Durst, and two sons, Garland Durst and Clark Durst, also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Jennings Church of God. She is survived by one son, Carl Durst, Grantsville, Maryland; four daughters, Mrs. Alice Beitzel, Mrs. Emogene Resh, Mrs. Beulah Glotfelty and Mrs. Wanda Yommer, all of Grantsville; one brother, Carl Platter, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; four sisters, Mrs., Beulah Barnes, Cumberland, Maryland; Mrs. Edna Wolf, Oakland, Maryland; Mrs. Hilda Portless, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs. Pearl Beavers, Westernport, Maryland; 23 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville. Services were conducted at the funeral home with the Rev. George Plants officiating. Interment was in the Bittinger Cemetery.
